The Public Leader retreat-based training course seeks to equip emerging leaders in their 20s and 30s who are passionate about bringing Christian leadership to all areas of life across the UK. Designed for those in full-time work, there are annual cohorts in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland.
Participants undertake a journey of equipping, mentoring and support to grow into their unique role of leadership for the 21st century and be confident in their voice wherever God has called them. The teaching during the weekend retreats focuses on four key themes: character, calling, competency and cultural intelligence.
As well as learning from expert speakers in a range of fields, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with other emerging leaders from across the spheres of politics, the arts, media, academia, business, education, civil society, and more.
The course includes:
- Weekend retreats (Friday evening-Saturday evening)
- Evening events with experienced leaders
- Visits to national cultural institutions
- Mentoring sessions with an experienced public leader
The teaching, mentoring, guidance and fellowship I have enjoyed throughout the process has been a real blessing and privilege to me and has helped me see how God is working in Scotland.

An incredible opportunity to explore the nature and scope of your God-given leadership gifts. Meeting a group of people also seeking discernment in how to use their leadership gifts and follow their calling has been an amazing blessing, and is constantly informing how we all think about leading in today’s world. Inspiring, challenging and empowering.
